Very strange sepia light and a blood red sun gave a very strange atmosphere this morning – the effects of tropical storm Ophelia, sand from the Sahara and smoke and debris from Portuguese wild fires. Incalf heifers and the last cow to calve were moved this morning. Whenever you move a batch of cattle they always have to have a bit of a push and shove amongst themselves.
